To ensure we are authentic and transparent in every engagement, we have formalised our ethical stance on business practices, particularly how we engage with new partners. Our approach to procurement and pitching is designed to remove friction, build trust, and ensure we only work with organisations we can genuinely help.

Running safer pitches

The traditional pitching process can be time-consuming, opaque, and inherently risky for clients. We believe in running a process that is fair, inclusive, and respectful of everyone’s time.

We’ve formalised a policy to ensure all potential partners have a safe and inclusive experience when engaging with us, which includes:

  • Clear briefs ahead of time: We ensure all documentation is clear, accessible, and provided with sufficient time for analysis, not last-minute.

  • Compensation for creative work: We recognise the value of strategic thinking and, in most cases, compensate organisations for any requested bespoke creative work to ensure a level playing field and respect for their time.

  • Focus on shared values: Our early conversations prioritise understanding if our “why” aligns with yours, reducing the risk of a partnership failing down the line due to misaligned expectations.

Transparency with partners

We aim to make the implicit explicit. Our goal is to ensure clients and collaborators know exactly what they are getting (and not getting) when they partner with us.

We are actively sharing our thinking on how agencies should operate, posing “The questions that show how agencies really work” on our blog. This is part of a wider commitment to being a transparent partner, encouraging our clients to ask us the tough questions about our:

  • Team equity and representation

  • Ethical client qualification processes

  • Openness about challenges rather than only successes

This commitment ensures that our business development process is rooted in mutual trust and alignment from the first conversation, reinforcing our mandate to be a business that is a force for good.
